Participants will have 8 months to complete four self-paced online courses and four digital artifacts to support their blended learning growth. In addition to coursework support from the MISD IT Consultants and MADE Instructors, participants will have opportunities to network with fellow educators during four after-school sessions (dates listed below). This program is FREE.
Each of the four self-paced unit will now have windows of completion to finish all work before moving on to the next section.

Middle Grade Science Teachers- 5th- 9th grades
Science and Stewardship in the Heart of the Great Lakes workshop is inspired by the Project WET learning materials and will include a complimentary Project Wet Book, various lesson plans and activity sets. Participants may qualify for a materials stipend and Metro Parks pass after completion of coursework.
Presenter Erin Parker is the Community Outreach Interpretive Services Supervisor for the Huron-Clinton Metropark. Erin started her science career as a classroom teacher with 8 years as a high school earth and environmental science teacher and science department chair. Her focus is now on connecting teachers and students to place-based, hands-on, inquiry-focused exploration of our local natural and urban ecosystems.
