(Open Enrollment) This self-paced 3 hour online course is designed for MISchoolData
technical/account administrators, ISD/ESA/ESD consultants or district
staff who support users in the MISchoolData. This course is designed to
introduce participants to the learning materials available to support
users of MISchoolData, as well as provide an overview of how to activate
and update user accounts. This course includes a video introduction
to the professional learning materials from what was previously called the "Train-the-Trainer
Network" of MISchoolData. Explore the PD Toolkit and beyond with
a library of resources readily available! From a Google Drive of shared
resources like presentations and quick start guides to the archives of monthly
communications like the Talking Points. Find out about technical
updates and listservs or explore the webinars and videos on the YouTube
channel! If you support users of MISchoolData, come learn what's
available.  Please note, this course is hosted in Edupaths.org and will
require a login using your district credentials. 
Evening study sessions will include scholarly learning, lively discussion, and practical applications to be used in the classroom for improving student engagement and learning. Full-day site visits will immerse teachers in the SEP of study in a real-life approach. Participants will gain hands-on experience working with the SEP of study in the field to give real-life application to the SEP that can pertain to all students at any grade level. Past sites have included Covaron Advanced Materials, American Axle Manufacturing World Headquarters, and the Detroit Zoo.
**Participants MUST attend the evening study session to attend the site visit. Participants may attend the evening study session without attending the site visit.**

The Career Spotlight Series is geared towards school counselors and college/career professionals who work assisting students to create post-secondary plans.
Each session will have a different career focus in which important labor market information and access points of the various career opportunities available to students after high school graduation.
The series is offered as a Passport in which participants will be asked to submit one single application at the conclusion of the series on April 28th to earn as many career SCECHs as they participated in sessions.

Target Audience: 2025-26 High School Junior Students
This asynchronous course will provide incoming juniors with an opportunity to explore the tools available on the College Board Student Portal, the Bluebook digital testing app, the free digital SAT prep courses available through Khan Academy, and MDE resources for the SAT essay with practice essays and scoring guides. Students will be able to work through the course at their own pace and schedule. In addition, students will have the opportunity to experience digital item examples and sample digital tests similar to what they will experience when they take the assessment in the spring of their junior year.
Students will want to complete the Schoology Coursework as soon as possible so they can spend more time completing the Digital SAT Prep course through Khan Academy. Students will have access to the Schoology Course during the two-week course window, however, participants will be able to continue to work in the Digital SAT prep course through Khan Academy and access practice test through the Bluebook testing app long after this course ends.
The top three students from each session who complete the Schoology course and answer the most correct Digital SAT practice items will earn a $10 gift card. The winners will be contacted by email a few days after each session closes.

The Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) are an integral part of K-12 science education and a foundational element of building scientifically literate citizens. Through the SEP Study Segments, teachers will participate in an evening of deep study focused on one of the SEPs and a full-day site visit where they will engage with the SEP in a hands-on, real-life context. Evening study sessions will include scholarly learning, lively discussion, and practical applications to be used in the classroom for improving student engagement and learning.
